  • Speaker: Chris Ward

    Chris Ward is the Teaching Pastor at Friends Church in Yorba Linda, CA. Prior to that, he was an Associate Teaching Pastor at ROCKHARBOR Church in Costa Mesa, CA. Chris is a Southern California native, having attended the University of Southern California for his undergrad and Talbot School of Theology for his M.Div. Before becoming a full-time pastor, Chris worked in the financial industry for Goldman Sachs. Chris is married to his wife Tanya and have one son, Lucas.

  • Speaker: Todd Wendorff

    Todd Wendorff was Born and raised in Rolling Hills, California, and attended Cal Berkeley, receiving a B.S. in Political Economics. Todd worked for Grubb and Ellis Commercial Real Estate for 5 years before going into the ministry full-time. He attended Talbot School of Theology - M.Div. 91, Th.M. 92; and later was involved at Biola University - Adjunct Faculty '91-'93 and again from 1999 to 2010. Todd was also active at Judson College, Ill - Adjunct Faculty in '96 and Golden Gate Seminary, - Adjunct Faculty from 1999-2000. He taught various classes in the Bible department of each of these schools.

  • Speaker: Shane Idleman

    Shane Idleman is the founder and lead pastor of Westside Christian Fellowship, in Lancaster, Ca. His sermons, books, articles, and radio program have sparked change in the lives of many. For more, visit WCFAV.org. Today, as we continually drift away in a current of moral decline and relativism, many believe that the battle is too advanced and that we cannot make a difference. Shane, however, believes that we can, and offers his books as contributions to that commitment. He stresses: "If we encourage truth, yet fail to relate to our culture, the church can seem formal and dead.

  • Speaker: Sean McDowell

    Sean McDowell is a gifted communicator with a passion for reaching people with the Gospel message. He connects in a tangible way through humor and stories while imparting hard evidence and logical support for viewing all areas of life through a Biblical worldview. He serves as Head of the Bible Department at Capistrano Valley Christian Schools where he teaches Philosophy, Theology, and Apologetics. As a high school teacher, Sean has exceptional insight into the prevailing culture and imparts his observations poignantly to fellow educators, pastors, and parents alike. In 2008 he received the Educator of the Year award for San Juan Capistrano, California. His apologetics training was awarded Exemplary Status by the Association of Christian Schools International. Sean is listed among the top 100 apologists. He graduated from Talbot Theological Seminary with a double Master's degree in Theology and Philosophy. He is pursuing a Ph.D. in Apologetics and Worldview Studies from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Open during afternoon free time for Basketball, Foosball, Ping Pong and Billiards. Located by the Meadow Ranch Pond

Climbing Spire: Friday 1:00 – 5:00 PM, 8:30 – 10:30 PM, Saturday 1:00 – 5:00 PM
Come challenge yourself on our outdoor climbing wall. It’s fun, easy and great for any skill level. Located next to the Meadow Ranch Pool.
Cost: No charge.

Zipline: Friday 1:00 – 3:00 PM, Saturday 1:00 – 4:45 PM
Take a ride through the trees on our 600 foot zipline over Meadow Ranch Pond. Meet at the Meadow Ranch Pond dock.
Cost: $5 per ride.

Fly Casting Instruction: Friday and Saturday 1:00 – 5:00 PM
Come to the Snack Shop Lawn Friday and Saturday for free fly casting instruction. All necessary equipment will be provided.
Cost: No charge.

Meadow Ranch Ropes Course: Friday at 3:15 PM & 8:30 PM and Saturday at 1:15 PM & 3:15 PM
Located next to the Meadow Ranch Lawn.
Cost: $15 per person.

Off-Road Tour: Friday and Saturday at 1:00 PM & 3:15 PM
Enjoy amazing views on a guided tour through the back roads surrounding Hume Lake. Meet in front of Ponderosa Chapel.
Cost: $25 per person.

Waterfront Boathouse: Thursday 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

.22 Rifle Range: Friday and Saturday 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Here’s a chance to have some fun plinking at random targets at our .22 rifle range.
Located next to the snowboard run.
Cost: $2 for 10 rounds

Linens not provided in economy lodging for men's retreats.
Please plan on bringing your own bedding or sleeping bag.

Standard:

Multiple Occupancy: $259/person
Minimum of 6 occupants required

Deluxe:

Multiple Occupancy: $420/person
Single Occupant: $520/person

 

The housing will be assigned first-come, first-serve based on when you register. This reduced rate is based on multiple occupancy. Minimum of 6 people to a room is required in standard and deluxe rooms. Hume will assign roommates if needed.

Lodging Options

Economy:

This is the camp experience. Our Economy housing is made up of cabins and dorms, many of which have full bathrooms attached or are in room. The rest have bathrooms within walking distance. These accommodations are outfitted with a queen bed or bunk beds and sleep 5 to 10 people for groups. For Marriage Retreats, there will be one couple per room. Linens are not provided during Mens and Family Retreats.

Standard:

Not looking for the camp experience? Then upgrade to our Standard accommodations which include linens and have full bathrooms in the room. Larger than hotel rooms, these dorms can sleep 5 to 10 guests comfortably. For Marriage Retreats, there will be one couple per room.

Deluxe:

Perhaps a hotel room is your idea of retreating... then our Deluxe Lodge rooms are for you. With amenities like a coffee maker, telephone, and a refrigerator in your room you won't feel like you're "roughing it" at all. Each room can sleep up to 4 guests comfortably. For Marriage Retreats, there will be one couple per room.

Self-Provided Housing:

For those who do not need Hume housing for the retreat, but have instead arranged their own lodging at a privately-owned cabin in the area. Please note that RV parking and tent camping are not available on Hume property.
