Happy Monday!

And, Happy Independence Day! (Hume does have a parade--maybe pictures for next week.) I have stared at this bike jump picture for quite awhile, and I am still not sure how he got the bike above his head, but it sure looks fun, and fun is part of the magic of Hume. So, today is all about people having fun!

Fun is not just reserved for campers. Even counselors find themselves giving in to an occasional smile. Our own staff still finds time to play. Every 4th of July weekend our staff hosts an annual "Hoe-Down," complete with pie-eating contests and mud-pit tug-o-wars.

Once the dust settled after this year's event, we discovered this little boy at the bottom of the pit. We are pretty sure that his mom might actually be looking for him, so if this child looks familiar, please let us know. (Plus, we are looking for someone who is good at getting out stains.)
