Happy Monday!
At lunch on Friday I bumped into a family on vacation. They work at a small camp in the mountains above San Diego: http://www.indianhillscamp.com. As we talked, it reminded me of how many faithful servants there are throughout the world. Even in the isolated world of Christian camping, Hume is just one of many ministries reaching out.
They mentioned their need for a break, and how they had their kids covered for the night and they didn't know what they might do, but they were looking for a relaxing evening alone. I mentioned that my family had two sea kayaks that were perfect for a quiet evening out on the lake.
I don't know if you can do it where you are at (if not, come and borrow my kayaks), but even Christ sought out those moments when He could simply slip away and be alone. Plan a moment to slip away with your spouse, your kids, or just alone with your Savior, it doesn't have to be at Hume Lake, but it certainly helps.
By the way, when I got home later that evening, my kayaks were gone.
