Happy Tuesday!
Every week at Hume we have some great stories of how God changed lives, but this last week, one stood out above the rest. One ministry in Southern California has an outreach program to young kids who have fallen through the cracks. They come from broken homes, foster care, living in shelters, and homeless. They are a bit rough compared to our average campers.
On Tuesday night Darin McWatters, our Meadow Ranch speaker, gave a clear presentation of the Gospel, one particular group responded. We realized that out of 11 boys in one cabin, 9 of them accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior! That actually worried us. We wondered if they understood their decision.
When Darin was asked to come by the cabin to talk with the boys, even he was skeptical. Instead, he found a room filled with young men eager with questions, and flowing with tears. They were broken, and they found their hope in the grace of Jesus Christ.
Nine out of eleven. That's just cool!
Oh, Country Fair this weekend. It starts at 9:00 am (though fresh cinnamon rolls start earlier). See you there!
