Happy Monday!

Summer is over. I went out this morning just to be sure. There are small, subtle signs of fall, like the changing colors of the leaves (already!). And there are more obvious signs, like the bright red "Pool Closed for the Season" sign.

One of the most obvious is the absence of noise. It's not that it is silent here, because you can hear the sound of the wind moving gently through the pine needles. But, right in the middle of recreation time, there are no screams, no cheers, and no whistles or megaphones. Kind of sad, actually.

But, it is also a great time to reflect on all that God did over the last three months, and to look forward to the many conferences this fall. This weekend our Board of Directors meets to strategize and plan for the future ministry of Hume. So, I am taking suggestions. If you have ideas for Hume, send me an email, and then next Monday I will post some pictures of our Board laughing and shaking their heads in response to your ideas.

Have a great week!
