Happy Thursday!

Well, almost happy. Two weeks ago the fire alarm sounded across the camp. One of our staff homes (the Simpson's) was on fire. We have a volunteer fire company, and they responded quickly and professionally, but not before significant damage occurred to the home.

The Simpsons had family visiting for Thanksgiving, and had to completely evacuate their home of everything they owned, much of which was damaged by the fire, water, or smoke. Thankfully, no one was injured and the Simpsons have already moved into a cabin that was generously offered by one of our Leaseholders.

Remember the old camp song "It Only Takes a Spark"? We've stopped singing that one around here, and we are no longer asking our staff to "keep the home fires burning."
