Happy Monday!
This weekend it got cold! It even snowed (graupel-actually). I wasn't able to get a picture of the couples driving by in golf-carts, wrapped in blankets. (Hey! To keep warm...what were you thinking?) But I need to tell you about last week.
Last week we completed the sixth year of the Joshua Wilderness Institute. Fifty-six students at Hume for nine-months, doing intense Bible study and taking one weekend a month to go on various mission trips, from orphanages in Mexico, to building houses for Habitat for Humanity in San Diego. The Joshua program is one of my favorites simply because we get to spend more time with the students. They are heading out challenged, with purpose, and with a strong foundation.
In contrast, we also had our first of three weekends of Football Camps. One weekend, one school, 45 high school football players, of which 25 made decisions, most first time decisions for Christ! Two different programs, two different purposes.
Both very cool!
