Happy Monday!
It's cold here. Really cold. It may be appropriate that we are running winter camps, and not summer camps. There are no campers in the wagons at Wagon Train. Even the sounds of winter are different than the sounds of summer. With nearly 900 students on the hill, the tube runs (right outside our bedroom window) produce a steady stream of screams, laughter, and the sound of inner tubes flying down the icy slopes.
By far, the best part is when the campers go into the chapel. Not just because the tube runs are quiet, but because of the life change that happens in the chapel. This weekend approximately 200 students stayed back; some to surrender their life to the Lord, and some desiring to take practical steps to re-align their life towards God.
One More BIG THING! Starting on January 29th, we will be traveling around California talking about some pretty significant changes coming to the Hume ministry. If you have even a partial interest in Hume Lake, you need to attend one of the Vision Dinners this year! We have some important announcements to make and we would love to see you there. (Yes, that is Eugenie and I sledding--just outside someone else's window!)
