Hume Lake Christian Camps - Week In Review

Happy Monday!

Twenty-seven years ago I reported to work in the Meadow Ranch kitchen for my first summer (1980 for those who were starting to do the math). I was an assistant breakfast cook and I cooked eggs for junior high campers. We are still making eggs, and there are still junior high campers. Though the kitchen is new (the old one burned down, and I promise I had nothing to do with that one), the campers are still the same, or at least they look the same.

Every morning, for decades, they line up; guys and girls in single file. "Single file! Single file! Whoever gets lined up first gets in first!" (You can tell by the picture that guys aren't likely to make it first.) But sometimes guys get other things. This is from a decision card from a young man who became a Christian last week:

"My decioson to follow in the path of god has been hard, but I no with all my heart that this is the rite path for me. By accepting god I believe he is my true god and I will always follow him."

OK, so they can't spell, but they can respond to the Gospel. It was a great first week! And, yes, mom, the girl in the Etnies sweatshirt is still wearing her pajamas, but look at that smile! She must like the eggs.
