Happy Monday!
Summer is over, and it is now officially Autumn. I know this by the absence of 1,000's of campers, a much smaller staff, the temperature outside, the snow on the peaks out in the canyon, (and the calendar on my wall).
Yesterday, I was out with my family exploring the woods and dales (what is a "dale"?) and found another sign. The convergence of ladybugs! We found one, (that's my daughter-in-law, Heather, showing my granddaughter a ladybug rescued from the creek). Then we found another one, then two, then ten, then thousands! Something stirs in that little insect, causing them to converge and clump together to protect themselves from the coming winter.
This week also begins the second week of Outdoor/Environmental Education. It is a completely different program than our crazy, energetic summers. But it is very effective at pointing to the Creator; Christ himself. His glory can be found in the big things, and in the small things.
Something in the tiny ladybug causes it to gather before it gets cold. My God did that. Any chance He is already working in the lives of the students coming up on buses today?
