Hume Lake Christian Camps - Week In Review

Happy Wednesday!

OK, you have to read this story from the Men's Conference this weekend:

Hi Eric,

I wanted to write and thank you and thank all involved on such an awesome men's conference. Josh was one of the ones that stood up during your comments after Steve's message Saturday night. I just wanted to tell you what transpired prior and during that moment of his standing.

Before dinner that evening Josh, Paul and I were out by the lake talking. Josh has been interested in Christ lately but had no intention of committing fully to him. In fact, he was really only with me to honor my request of him to attend. Anyway, we were talking and Josh said that he didn't think he could commit just because some man or me or his mom gives a convincing story. He said; "what if I was out in the middle of nowhere by myself, couldn't God convict me there, why do I need or should I trust someone else to this"? So, we go and listen to Steve's message, and then you come out. Josh said at the moment you were talking he felt exactly the same as always, "no reason to change, I'm happy the way I am." He said he bowed his head and said "Help me" and suddenly he said his butt was coming off the seat. He doesn't feel he stood up on his own, and the moment he was upright his heart changed!. For me, his Dad, it was the most incredible thing I personally ever experienced. He felt like God Personally talked to him, to his heart. I'm almost tearing up now remembering. Anyway, I wanted to share that with you on the hopes of encouraging you and all the folks at Hume. Your work is unbelievable.

I've hung my name badge so I see it everyday before I leave for work to remember to pray for your ministry at Hume.

May the Lord's blessing continue and multiply on you and your family.

Sincerely,
Bob

"Help me"....The moment he was upright his heart changed!

That is just cool!
