Mother-Daughter Retreat

Overview

Every May hundreds of gals from age 8 and up arrive at Hume for Mother/ Daughter retreat. This event provides an opportunity for moms, daughters, grandmas, cousins and even girlfriends to enjoy a great weekend of spiritual nourishment and plain old fun! Hume’s Mother/Daughter retreat offers a variety of activities and experiences for multi-generations!

During the weekend gals will enjoy meaningful biblical teaching, beautiful worship, crafts, and exciting outdoor recreation from hiking to boating to volleyball to high adventure. This event is a family tradition for many and provides life-long memories shared together on Hume’s spectacular grounds!

    Janet has been encouraging and challenging women through her conferences and Bible studies for almost 20 years. She has a passion for helping women know, believe and experience God. She serves as Women's Ministry Director at Atascadero Bible Church and has written four Bible studies and developed other resources designed to help women in their walk of faith.     One of the highlights at Hume's Mother/Daughter retreats is the time spent in worship with three sisters: Melanie Bernard, Cheryl Shields and Deanna Ramsay. This team brings a sense of energy, delight and reverence to each worship set they lead. Their musical expertise and obvious love for Jesus help bring us to the throne of our Savior.

Lodging Options

Standard:

This is the camp experience.  Our Standard housing is made up of cabins and dorms, many of which have full bathrooms attached or are in room.  The rest have bathrooms within walking distance.  These accommodations are outfitted with a queen bed or bunk beds and sleep 5 to 10 people for groups.  For Marriage Retreats, there will be one couple per room.  Linens are not provided during Mens and Family Retreats.

Deluxe:

Not looking for the camp experience?  Then upgrade to our Deluxe accommodations which include linens and have full bathrooms in the room.  Larger than hotel rooms, these dorms can sleep 5 to 10 guests comfortably.  For Marriage Retreats, there will be one couple per room.

Premium:

Perhaps a hotel room is your idea of retreating... then our Premium Lodge rooms are for you.   With amenities like a coffee maker, telephone and a refrigerator in your room you won't feel like you're "roughing it" at all.  Each room can sleep up to 4 guests comfortably.  For Marriage Retreats, there will be one couple per room.

Self-Provided Housing:

For those who do not need Hume housing for the retreat, but have instead arranged their own lodging at a privately-owned cabin in the area. Please note that RV parking and tent camping are not available on Hume property.
