Bring Your Own Cardboard

Campers arriving at Hume for the first week of winter camp carry construction supplies for building their sled for the now infamous, Boxsled Blitz—an event that pits teams against each other as they race down the tube-run in custom crafted cardboard sleds.

Even though there hasn’t been any precipitation recently (which generally results in no snow), we’re still able to operate the tube-run and snowboard run thanks to cold temperatures and several snow blowers.

While students do have to bring their own cardboard, we take care of the rest. From the ice-rink to the snowboard hill, and from the mechanical bull to the indoor climbing wall we provide plenty of unique, high-energy games and activities. And in the evenings, the Gospel is simply and clearly presented through our theme videos, worship band, and passionate speakers.

Watch the wrap up videos from this winter to get an idea of how we do camp!
