Kauai: Summer 2016 Recap

The island of Kauai feels like a small town. Of the four counties of Hawaii, Kauai is the least populated. There are only about 65,000 residents. To put that into perspective the entire population of Kauai is about the size of Lodi, California. As with any tight community, relationships are very important. From Kekaha to Kilauea it has been a true privilege to get to know the churches, leaders and youth of Kauai. Over the last several years we have built relationships and made lifelong friends. We feel so honored to get to serve alongside so many great people working to bring the gospel to the youth of the island.

Our hope with camp is to serve the church of Kauai and to provide a camp where we handle the details so leaders can focus 100% on students! Our hope is that campers may hear the gospel, be challenged through scripture and encounter Jesus Christ in such a powerful way that their lives are transformed.

We are so grateful for all of you who have prayed for and supported the ministries of Hume Lake so that we can provide camp for youth all around the world. This summer we maxed out the small camp property we use to run camp on Kauai. We are excited and looking forward to all that God has in store for the future.
