Summer Camps

For 64 years we've had the privilege of running summer camp here at Hume Lake. Not only is our scenery a breathtaking reminder of God's glory, but the number of lives transformed through the Gospel is truly exciting!

In addition to the summer camps (Ponderosa, Meadow Ranch, Wagon Train and Wildwood) we run at our main location at Hume Lake, we also run HumeSD, a summer camp for jr. high and high school students on the Point Loma Nazarene University campus.

2010 Summer Theme Teaser

We live in a self-centered culture with an attitude of entitlement. From the decisions we make to the things we say, our lives reflect an abundance of "me." This "me-centered culture" is in opposition to II Corinthians 5:14-15 which says: "For Christ's love compels us, for we are convinced that one died for all therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died for them and was raised again."

This summer we will address the "me-centered culture" of today's youth by challenging students to understand that we were bought with a price by the death of Christ and the life we live belongs to Him. We are called daily to selflessly submit to Christ. We are called to excuse ourselves out of the way so that God gets the glory. This summer we will learn what it means to Excusez-Mwa!?...
