Dates and Speakers
Speaker: Trent Lewis
Trent Lewis is the Pastor of Ministries at Arbor Road Church in Long Beach, California. He is a graduate of Biola University and has been working with students for 17 years. His primary ministry started in 2013 when he married Cora. Trent's hobbies include improv comedy, podcasting and Disney... anything Disney. He is passionate about communicating the truth of God's Word in an engaging and relevant way through camps and conferences. Trent is excited for the opportunity to speak and feels strange writing about himself in the third person.
Speaker: Chris Nicely
Chris is the Lead Pastor of Legacy Minded Church, a new church plant in the city of Burbank, California. He is passionate about the Gospel and telling the Story of Jesus to the city that tells stories. He is supported and spoiled by his beautiful wife, Rebecca. They have two beautiful children, Eden and Josiah. A random fun fact about Chris- while growing up his nickname was 'BoBo' but don't tell anyone it is our little secret!
Speaker: Darin McWatters
Darin McWatters grew up in Phoenix, AZ where he learned to wear long pants in 120 degree weather, apply sunscreen without blotching, and avoid the dreaded venom of the Gila monster. For a couple of years he lived like a tamborineless gypsy, roaming incessantly back and forth across the highways and byways of America in the band, Everybodyduck. Then he did some missions work with mountain people in the Sierra Nevadas, as the Program Director of Hume Lake Christian Camps and founder of the Joshua Wilderness Institute. Now he lives in Long Beach, CA where he still wears long pants and sunscreen but almost never thinks about Gila monsters. He is currently Pastor of Teaching and Mission at First Baptist Church of Lakewood, and a Chaplain with the Los Angeles County Sherriff's Department. He has been married to his wife Shannon for 17 years, and has four children Jack, Hank, Lily, and Will. Understandably, he is very tired most of the time.
Speaker: Matt Furby
Matt Furby grew up coming to Hume as a camper. Since then, he's been a camp counselor and even worked on staff. Today, he is a teaching pastor at The Grove Community Church in Riverside, CA, and oversees the Jr. High ministry there as well. He has been serving in youth ministry over a decade, and is passionate about seeing the next generation rise up as leaders in the church. He married his wife Mette in the country of Denmark. They have three kids: Ruben, Edwin, and Lydia . Furby loves Junior Mints and Bruce Lee, and is confused that two of his kids have red hair.
Speaker: Chris Hilken
Christopher Hilken is the high school pastor at North Coast Church down in San Diego. He graduated from Concordia University Irvine with degrees and programs in Theological Studies, Psychology, and Biblical Languages. His passion is connecting students with a God who desires the best life imaginable through a new identity in Christ. His commitment to sound Bible teaching mixed with his fun and energetic teaching style makes his messages something that people from all ages, stages, and walks of life have tuned in to hear. He is married to his wife, Paige, and they are expecting their first child in October.

2015 Theme: Aye Aye Cap'n!
Grab your cutlass and make way for an epic tale on the high seas. Follow the life of Peter as he learns to trust the Captain in all things...no matter what comes his way. This summer, we are challenging students to be faithful with today and whatever God puts in their lives.
Matthew 4:19-20 - “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” At once they left their nets and followed him.
There be Pirates!

Meadow Ranch Overview
2015 Band: Valley of Vision
We exist to worship Jesus. We desire to live lifestyles of obedience and surrender to Christ in response to the gospel. We believe worship is more than just music, but we see the power in praising God together with His body through song.
We LOVE music. We believe God uses it mightily to speak to our souls and bring us into His presence. We desire to always bring Jesus glory, to worship Him humbly, to trust Him sacrificially, and to serve and love Him wholeheartedly. There's no greater joy than to rejoice in the finished work He's done for us!
It is our desire that our worship music is led by the Holy Spirit, glorifying to God alone, solid in Biblical truth, musically excellent, and creatively pleasing.
